Space Ball Games
Develop teamwork, spatial awareness, coordination, colour recognition and mathematics skills with the HART Space Ball Pack!
Each pack has six different coloured Velcro vests, as well as 10 balls of each colour numbered 1-10. Each vest has a velcro panel that the soft lightweight balls easily stick to, making it perfect for a variety of retrieval games, relays or treasure hunts.
Below are two of the most common games used with the Space Ball Pack, but the possibilities are only limited by your imagination!
Game 1
The object of this game is to throw your coloured balls at other people's Velcro patches. There are scoring variations that can be applied to this game. It can be as simple as whoever attaches their coloured balls to the most people wins. Or the numbers on the balls can be used for scoring, prompting the use of mathematical skills to determine the winner. This game can be played both indoors and outdoors, with the field dimensions adaptable depending on space available.
Game 2
Have all the different coloured balls mixed in a pile, or spread out across a surface. The first person to go pick up their coloured balls and attach to their bib wins. This game can be varied by the distance in which each ball is seperated, or even turned into a treasure hunt where the kids have to search for their colour. This game is great for teaching colour recognition. The scoring can also be varied using the numbers on the balls to teach different math problems such as odd/even numbers or simple addition.
