Discus

Each discus at HART Sport has its own unique properties and means there is the perfect discus for everyone.

Rubber discus are ideal for schools and beginners, they have a low rim weight making them easy to throw. They are very durable and cost effective. Wooden or synthetic discus with a metal rim are required for competitions outside of school level.

Rim weight affects a discus spin and its air time. A heavier rim weight will mean more effort is required to get the discus going, however it will be more stable in the air and generate better lift - meaning you can throw it further! Heavier rim weights are often used with more experienced throwers and are ideal for competition. Lower rim weight discus are easier to throw and are great for novice and intermediate throwers.
