Gym Bars

Gym Bars (also known as body bars) are an excellent tool for adding intensity to your workout. They are commonly used for resistance workouts but are also great for improving core stability and balance. Using a gym bar requires not only the large muscle groups to work but it also targets the small stabilizing muscles in your shoulders, neck, arms and trunk.

Gym Bars are an excellent alternative to barbells as they are rubber coated– which doesn’t hurt your shoulders like a steel barbell. Similar to barbells, you can choose the weight you want to use by using different bars. Unlike barbells however the weight is evenly distributed across the bar, making it easier to maintain your balance and reducing the risk of tipping to one side.
